Together with our partners we developed a five-year accommodation & integration project that facilitates empowerment and social inclusion, while supporting locals to become financially self-sufficient by the end of the five-year project. The project works with a holistic and long-term approach and helps families with asylum status to integrate into the framework of the city of Katerini.
Since June 2017
with the support of RefuAid and Help Refugees/Choose Love organisations, we have been piloting a successful accommodation project for the integration of both refugees and locals in need.
The inclusion of local families in need in our project is an important aspect of our work.
To date we have supported 2 local families and 8 families with recognized refugee status, providing appropriate and safe accommodation, access to medical care, psychosocial support, legal support, additional educational support, professional development, language learning opportunities (English and Greek), cultural information, financial planning assistance etc.
